Hell again all,
As I plan my websites I begin to realize that some of them have hundreds, if not thousands of possible keywords. Each of which can have a page created for them.
I understand that I shouldn't add many pages per site in any given week, and I like that. But, my concern is this.
How many pages can a website have?
You mention somewhere that a SE knows that you can only have so many pages relevant to any particular topic. How should I gauge this?
Also, if I have 10 websites up and running. How am I supposed to create content for each of them on a weekly basis.
You say that you spend 4 hours creating unique content, but if you are only able to create, say 9 new articles per week. How can you update 10 or more websites?
Do you reach the point where you are no longer updating some of your sites, or am I missing something? (A very common occurence )
Thank You |

I like to get my sites up to at least 200 or 300 articles,
then I can 50 articles a year. I outsource my articles,
so I reinvest some and save some.
Let's say you have 10 sites and they make an avg. $10 a day
that's $3000 a month, you can reinvest $1500 back each month.
You outsource your content at $5.00 per article, so that is 300
articles x $5 = $1500, that would be adding 30 articles to each
site every month or adding 10 articles a day, which is easy.
You could even getaway with adding 20 articles a month to each
site and save more.
From my own experience once you have even 50 articles
on your site and you get your links the traffic and the adsense
money is very residual.
But the more articles you can add the more money you can
make, you can space it out if you want.
I know people that have thousands of pages on their sites.
I have a website I started in Aug 2004, I wrote 200 articles
for it myself over time, March 2005 it started making money,
I linked related pages together and submitted articles and got
reciprical links. Since March 2005 I added around 100 to 150
articles I think spread out not all at once.
It is making this month $30 a day.
Article marketing is very residual, get those Original articles up and
published, they'll pay you for years.

Thanks Jeremy,
That's a very helpful reply. I do, however, have some questions.
You mention adding 30 articles per day per site. In THE PLAN, Charles mentions adding 1 article per week.
Will I run into problems with the SE if I add so many articles per day. I, personally, don't think so since there are sites that get hundreds, if not thousands, of new pages added every day (like ezinearticles.com). But, you guys have been doing this far longer than I have, so I just want to make sure, or at least get your opinions.
Lastly, you mention that you started a website in Aug 2004. You started making money with that site in March 2005. Should I expect a delay of 6 months, or so, before a new site starts generating a profit?
This seems like a long time, but if that's the norm I'd like to know that ahead of time.
Thanks |

Hi Eddie,
In the example its just one article per site, per day, or
10 articles a day which = 300 articles a month.
The reason that site took so long to start making money
is because I chose the competitive keywords first.
My new sites now take only 2 or 3 months before
I see some adsense money.
Even if you did add 30 articles per day, per site that's ok.
It is only when you start a new site, you should start with
10 or 20 pages.
The PLAN says to start with 5 or 10 pages then start your next
site, this is because google favors sites that are older.
So if you get sites up quick with a few pages, then the clock starts.

Don't forget that another way of getting articles is through purchasing PLR (private label rights) articles.
When you're just starting out it's much cheaper than outsourcing, and you get a lot to work with! The articles (depending where you buy them) are usually pretty good quality and are optimized for high paying keywords.
I personally am a member of Article Underground, where I get 400 articles a month (keyword optimized), which are of a generally high quality compared to many PLR sites. All they need is a bit of rearranging (adding an extra paragraph or two, changing bits around etc. to make them unique) and they're good to go.
I'm not suggesting you build all your sites with PLR articles, but it's easier than writing all your articles yourself, and it's cheaper than outsourcing! It's also better than, say, using articles from Ezine articles which are already published, because you can modify them (which you can't do with most articles you get from article sites, unless you personally contact the author or whatever, which can be a bit of a hassle).
If you want to find out more, click on the link in my sig file. At the moment anyone who signs up with Article Underground will actually get an extra set of 400 articles free (only till the 16 of June though! It's a bit of a loophole New articles come out on the 16th of every month, and if you sign up any time before then you get the last month's articles as well...)
Cheers

Thanks all.
I, personally, have heard nothing good about Article Underground until right now.
So, I would say that you should start spreading that good word as much as possible. They could use the good publicity.
Thanks again. |
