I am a proponent of avoiding theme bleading obviously. I think the only way to actually prove theme bleading is not to analyze existing sites that are already indexed in Google but to create multiple new sites that are identical (or at least 'created equal' enough) to one another. Make one with minimal theme bleading, make a second one with moderate theme bleading, and the last one with excessive theme bleeding. Attempt to get them all indexed into Google at approximately the same time by buying a PR six or PR seven link to each of them for one month. Come back in one year's time and see who ranks higher.
