I was reading the tutorial about using Google Adwords for keyword research, I know there is the external tool you can use if you dont have an Adwords account, however, if you have an Adwords Account you can take advantage of the advanced Adwords keyword tools.

My question is when I try to sign up for an Adwords account it is making me design Adword ads, submit a website for the ads to link to, start a payment plan. I am not ready to do all that, I just want to sign up and use the keyword research tool within Adwords. I read the tutorial here about adwords and it said I can pay 5$ for an account, but I dont see that anywhere, cant I just use the Adwords account to do keyword research with out setting anything up?

you can create a fake advert and website and then pause or delete the campaign straight away to start using the keyword tool. $5 will appear on your account. mine was taken from my card after a few weeks.

just start a new campaign as above and collect the keywords but don't save the campaign
