Hi guys!
I've read The Plan & The Silo concepts, after searching the forums, I have a few questions answered but still others remained. Hope you can help.
1. I've built 3 websites with concept of The Plan. In it there are no adsense.
Within a week... actually 6 days, all my pages (5 articles each domain) has been indexed by Google! Now, I've done more than just directory submissions to get them indexed but that's another story.
Now obviously being indexed so quickly will make many of us happy and would jump right in to add adsense... however from experience, directory submissions are soooo slow in listing your site, adding adsense now will just waste your effort submitting them in the first place.
One in this forum said "6 weeks" to be safe number to be listed in the directories. So the question is, when do you implement adsense on the 6-days old site?
2. After being indexed in Google, in addition of writing and submitting articles and other link building strategies, does one still need to submit to directories as part of getting links?
What are the percentage of directories that are going to accept you with adsense implemented?
3. Navigation. According to The Plan, navigations should follow The Plann only until you have been indexed.
After you have been indexed, do you now give every page the navigation like that of the home page or follow the link structure as described in The Plan? (which is having 2 links, one from the most recent article and one from the sitemap).
4. Affiliate Links. Adding affiliate links to such of clickbank, i believe would look like a bleed wouldn't it? How else and when could you implement such links? Would redirect work or php header redirects?
5. Keyword density, RSS feeds, pagerank & SERPs. I'm shocked actually to hear that pageranks have little to nothing to do with ranking. So I guess I should just concerntrate on adding content.
What is your input on adding rss feeds on your pages?
Does it dilute the keyword density & thus drop your SERPs ranks?
Is keyword density important?
Does RSS feeds bleed your theme?
Geeezzz..... I didn't know I have so many questions on my mind after the first 2. I do hope all of them have answers and get answered. More over, this is my post number 1. Sounds like information overloaded already from the "hype building" out there.
Thank you very much to those who answer in whole & in part.
Very much appreciated for your generous sharing of your insights!
David. |

Hi David,
I've personally found that there hasn't been a great deal of difference between my acceptance/non-acceptance rate in directories based upon Adsense inclusion. I often find that the directories that accept my non-Adsense sites also accept my Adsense sites, and the directories that don't accept one don't accept the other either... Now, it's not 100%, but I'd say that (as a guess) you'll end up with success in at least 90% of the directories (that will accept you!) if you've got Adsense as opposed to no Adsense (make sense???)
That sounds a bit confusing...anyway, what I'm trying to say is that you will be rejected by some directories whether or not you've got Adsense (especially if you won't do reciprocal linking) but of those that do accept you, most don't care whether or not you've got Adsense, as long as you've got a quality site!

I use the rel="nofollow" command for each of my affiliate links, which should (theoretically at least) prevent any bleed from occurring.
Cheers
