|
|
| I was reading the tutorial on keyword research the manual way (not using themezoom) and it said when researching competitors sites to look for keywords that have high traffic but low amount of competing websites. Well if you do a search in google with your keyword you can get the number of competing websites, well HOW do you get the traffic? I am so confused about this |

To find out the overall traffic (and the competitors) use professional keyword research tools. They don't show you the competitors traffic, but they should you how many times the terms are typed into SE's.
Use the cometitor site to figure out the keywords they are optimizing for. Then type them into some keyword tool.
Free: nichebotclassic.com
free trials of keyworddiscovery.com and wordtracker.com
Big subject, but this can get you started. |

Well couldnt you use Overture for finding out the traffic for keywords?
Is that what he meant? for finding keywords with traffic higher than 100 ? etc....? |

| Yes, overture is ok too. But the others are a lot better, as they pull from different SE's. Those tools also give you the competition and traffic, so you don't have to go into google and get the competition numbers for each keyword phrase. |
