Please give me some feedback on my site.
http://www.getapprovalnow.com
Google has indexed it. But it is indexed on a page I did not anticipate.
My main keyword is Bad Credit Home Mortgages. The page is indexed on Get approval now.
I don't know why.
Let me know what you think.

Sites are either indexed - or not. Period. They aren't indexed by keyword phrase. All the term "indexed" means is that they have recorded at least one of your pages in their database (a prerequisite to getting ranked).
Your site has 74 pages indexed in Google.
Pages "rank" for keyword phrases. Each of the above 74 pages will rank differently, for different keyword phrases (assuming they aren't all about the exact same thing).
Your home page is returned for the phrase "Get approval now" because you have that in the Title tag of that page, that phrase is the same as your domain name, it's in the alt tag for your header image, it's the first three words in your description meta tag, it appears in your keyword meta tag, it's the first three words in the H1 tag at the top of the page, and it's the anchor text in a link in the footer.
Surprise!
You've done everything you can to convince the search engines that "Get Approval Now" is what that page is about.
It's a mistake that many people make. Unless the "name" of your site is exactly the same as your primary keyword phrase, you need to downplay the name of your site so that the page topic comes through.
The good news is that your page(s) will also rank for other phrases. You're over the first hurdle (getting indexed), now you have to get them ranked for the high-traffic phrases that you want to target.
Hope this helps,

I personally haven't used dashes in any of my domain names, but I've heard that it's okay to use ONE dash only. Apparently Google looks down on too many dashes in a domain name. Personally, I try to avoid them if possible :)
I also use Dreamweaver 8 and Hostgator, but like to get my domains from iPowerweb (as they're the cheapest .coms I can find!)
Cheers

Here's a token of interest; 2 of my sites are on the first page of their respective kwds at Google. One of them has 99,000,000 competitors. It has one hyphen between two words. The other site has 1,500,000 competitors and has two hyphens inbetween 3 kwds. I have another site which has 4 hyphens and it's climbing. Both the above sites are 2 years old (toddlers).

Basically same as the first site, no pictures, no formatting - starting to add to the directories. I'll keep you all updated.
Ant constructive criticism please fire away.
Good luck
