I try setting wordpress permalinks to /%category%/%post-name%/. But when I click my post link, 404 page nout found.
Then I setting to /index.php/%category%/%post-name%/. It's run ok.
Anybody know why I can't setting to /%category%/%post-name%/? |

I don't know why either but that is the only way I have gotten my WP blogs to work as well. If anybody has an explanation, I would love to hear it.

| something wrong with your htaccess file. Try to copy and paste it to your wordpress folder and change permisions to 777 but not shore about it |

I also face the same problem before. From my reading at wordpress codex, it happen bcoz the .htaccess need to be called from index.php first before it can redirect to appropriate permalinks of your post.
In simpler way --> You cannot avoid index.php in your permalinks. |
