It seems like you have a child sub-theme under "acne cures" that would be discussing "alternative medicine" when it should only talk about "alternative medecine for acne" to stay synonymic and support the overall theme of the parent sub-theme "acne cures".
Do you follow? |
Hi,
I'm beginning to understand that missing out the word "acne" from my sub-themes are actually vital.
The names in the blue boxes are going to be the actual filenames with either dashes or underscores.
The terms now "keeping the theme tight" is beginning to make sense!
Here's the New Diagram
What do you think? |
Just be sure to use the rel="nofollow" attribute for the links leading from the article "Methods of Acne Cures" to the child sub-themes of "Acne Cures and Fruits" and "Chinese Herbs Cure for Acne" As your sub theme on "acne cures" needs to be more established (more articles) before linking out of it.
You need at least 5 articles in each sub-theme in order to establish it.
In cases where it makes sense for a "human" to follow the link & it conflicts with the SEs ability to theme your site (as in the example above) use the rel="nofollow" attribute.

Hi Charles,
I have a question about the definition of silos. For instance as the diagrams that have been discussed in this post, Acne is the silo.
Now assuming the site is growing to be big, I decide to move "Acne" into a more general category called "Health & Fitness". Would Acne still be a silo? Are silos "one level below" index.php?
In the first place, is moving silos like that a good idea?
Thanks! |
