The tag and ping system and strategy will be taught for free here. I will be adding lessons in the coming weeks. For now here are a few lessons to get you started:

Lesson 1: Tag and Ping

Lesson 2: Social Bookmarking

Lesson 3: Bookmarking and Tagging

Lesson 4: Setting up your blog for tag and ping

More free lessons will be added... stay tuned.

Hello,

I have read all the three tutorials and watched the videos also.

First, Great Job and effort thank you very much for it Smile

Second, I have a question :
How long should a link to my website stay in the high PR pages of Social Bookmarking sites?
If there is a page with PR 4,5,6 or even more, for how long should my link stay there to have the PR forwarded to my link?

Thank you,
norton_gates

It depends on how often the site is spidered by the major search engines. However, most social bookmarking sites, your bookmark vanishes from the main page really quickly!

This is why it's sometimes hard to get those promised high PR backlinks from social bookmarking sites!

However, there are some bookmarking sites that have high PR and not much activity, so you can stay on the front page for days or weeks, surely enough time to get spidered.

Cheers

Using Blinklist as example, I look at a tag called 'blogs' and see it has a PR5. If I click forward through to the second page of results, that also has a PR of 5. However, when you look at Google's cache of the second page, it is only picked up as the first. It seems to use AJAX to make calls within the page and as such will be difficult / impossible? to index.

It's late and I haven't yet followed this up on any other sites 'cos I need my bed, but it would mean you only have chance to get a backlink by staying on the first page.

BTW, thanks Charles for talking complete sense. I've followed Wu's promotion and how he built the hype. Very nice for a quick buck, but from the feedback I've read so far I can see why he applied the urgency tactic before it all came out.

so how is tagging still effective as far as traffic generation goes, if all these spammers have begun to put all of their splogs in the Social Bookmarking results... so all the legit bookmarks get pushed out of the 1st pages fast!!

Also, can you Tag a website page then... or does it have to be a blog?

Thanks,
Steve-O

Tagging works well for getting traffic on demand despite the spammers. You can tag any page of your website whether it is a blog or not.

It is a good toll to get traffic to deep internat pages of your site.
