I am glad I came across this blog. I've been reading the insightful comments and bought the Seo 20/20 primer in part just because of all the free contributions by the author.
I read "Tagging Secrets" and immediately asked for a refund. The e-book is worthwhile, but I'm a professional Internet Marketer (get paid well for it), and "Tagging Secrets" tends to come across as one of those e-books with a fair amount of information (freely available if you search) along with a lot of "helpful hints" to market whatever it is you've got. The problem with "helpful hints" and the Internet is that they're a dime a dozen.
Something I will mention for the benefit of the person who was interested in getting into AdSense is that, as someone who professionally manages PPC campaigns, I can honestly say that most PPC campaign managers almost always de-select the content option for the viewing of the PPC ads they manage. (This means that the ads only appear on search engine results pages, not content network websites and blogs.) That's because the PPC managers know that Google and Yahoo will show their AdSense/YSM Content ads on basically any website or blog that someone wishes to put together, and ad effectiveness/conversion is extremely low/worthless. I say this, in part, because I know that the promoters of AdSense strategies probably spend as much time promoting that dream to the newbies as they do the current tag and ping.
One thing I have wondered about is whether there's any way to get around the no/follow links issue. |
