Just wondering what makes the silo structure better
than linking related articles together.
On some sites what I have done is I have a main
page called Reviews, then on that page there would
be general info.
Also on that page would be links to separate site maps,
on each site map would be links to reviews for that
particular brand for example sony widget sitemap,
or panasonic widget sitemap.
Also say the sony widget sitemap had 15 reviews,
then I would take sony wiget review 1 and link that
to two other sony widget reviews, then sony widget
review 2 would have links to 2 other sony widget reviews.
Each review would link back to the sony widget review sitemap.

I see this was answered in another post,
its so easy to get caught up with the individual
steps.
I'm waiting until I can read The Master Plan so I can
see the big picture and its variations.

Hi Jeremy,
For your product reviews do you just look at other sites that have product reviews and combine them to make your own. I am having articles written for a site right now and when I saw you post it made me think that product reviews would probably work well for me too. Do you grab pictures from those sites as well? Any copyright issues to be aware of?
Thanks,
Buddy |

Hi Buddy,
When I first started I wrote all my own articles,
and researched them.
If the keyword was "small blue widget 1240", let's say
that is a product, I would go to the merchant that sold
that and print out their product description and write my
own review from that.
Merchants mostly have features so I would add what the
benefits are.
If there wasn't enough content on the merchant's site
I would go to epinions.com and look at their reviews,
and use that info in a creative way.
Focus on the benefits, I have writers write my articles
now and the only thing I change is the headline.
Depending on the article write headlines like:
Top 2 Advantages of Small Blue Widgets
Small Blue Widegets Ensure Safety and Performance
Choose one benefit in your article and put that
in your headline. Read other people's headlines you
like and tweak them for your niche.
Hope that helps,
Jeremy |

Jeremy,
Thanks for your thoughts. I didn't even think of going to the merchant's site. That makes the most sense.
