A Comprehensive List of Article Directories...

WARNING: Before using this source of article directories you need to take pause!

Somebody somewhere probably told you that it would be a great idea to submit your articles to hundreds or even thousands of directories for the purpose of gaining 1 way backlinks or traffic.

If you are seeking backlinks then I highly (highly) suggest that you reconsider mass article submissions unless you want to get penalized with duplicate content.

The search engines DO NOT care who published the article first. What matters is who gets the article indexed first. If you submit you original article to a directory and that directory gets your article indexed first then you're in trouble.

The trouble starts when you publish that same article to your website. The search engines will see that the same article was already published somewhere else and you will get popped with a penalty and down the rankings you will go.

WHY?

Because the article directory was credited as the "originator". It does not matter who the author is. What matters is who got the article indexed first.

I highly suggest that you spin new articles out of your existing article and submit those "spun" articles to the article directories and publish the original on your own website.

You can do this manually but the work would be tedious. You could also use an off the shelf article spinner software but the spun results will sound stupid and anyone reading your article will think you're an idiot. After all, the Internet is made of real people isn't it?

If you want to use the best article spinner on the market then I suggest you check out Content Composer. If you want to spin your wheels and waste your time then use another article spinner.

Once you invest in Content Composer then use the list pf article directories that can be found at Dyartts.com (over 2000 article directories) and submit to your hearts content.

Be sure to submit as many unique and original articles as possible. NEVER submit your original. Always save your original for your own website.

If you want to rank for the keywords that are contained within your original document then have all your submitted articles point to the URL of the web page where you host your original. Be sure to use varying anchor text that is contextually related to the article.

Do you know what you're doing?

Many aspiring webmasters believe that they are on the right path. I watch the traffic to this web page and it is staggering to me that so many people visit it looking for article directories to submit to. Most of these webmasters have no clue what they are doing.

If you bought an e-book or subscribed to a membership site that told you to mass submit a single article to a bunch of directories then GET OUT NOW. They are either trying to fool you in order to "keep you busy" or they are not knowledgeable enough to know the difference.

If you are going after article directories in order to get "traffic" then there are only a handful that you need to bother submitting to:
