Using Forum Signatures to Gain Traffic
and Signups

Forum signatures are an effective way to drive traffic
to your PPP website. Most people think that advertising
in forums involves starting conversations about the PPP
opportunity. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Do not discuss the PPP opportunity in forums unless you
are specifically asked. Instead contribute to existing
conversations by giving and answer, asking a question or
making a comment.
By contributing to existing conversations, most forums
allow you to show a signature line below your question,
answer or comment.
Here is a screenshot of a forum post. You can see the
comment area with the signature line below it. It is far
more effective and you will get far more signups by
contributing to conversations (that show your signature)
rather than trying to open discussions about PPP.
If you try to open discussions about PPP many forums
will consider that you are "self promoting" and you will
either get ridiculed or your post will be deleted by the
administrator. Many consider self promotion to be forum
spam so don't do it.
It has been proven to be far more effective to ask,
answer or comment on existing conversations of interest
and then show a good (curiosity building) signature line
below each of your posts.
Setting Up A Forum Signature...
Most forums will allow you to set up a signature. Most
forums have an area where you can update your "profile".
Find that area and then locate the area where you can
update your forum signature.
Most forums use what is known as bulletin board code or
forum code to set up your signature. Some of them use
straight HTML code. Whatever the case may be, use the
preview function (if available) to see if your signature
line appears and works the way it is supposed to.

How to Locate Forums...
Finding forums is easy to do using any of the major
search engines. I would suggest looking for Internet
marketing related forums because this is where many
website owners will go to seek answers, advice and
comments about making money online.
Go to any search engine and search for any of the
following phrases to get a listing of Internet marketing
related forums.
- internet marketing forum
- marketing forum
- seo forum
- sem forum
- webmaster forum
- website forum
- etc, etc, etc...
When you find a forum that interests you, join it,
verify your membership and then set your forum
signature. Then it is a simple matter of contributing to
as many conversations as possible to get your signature
seen by as many people as possible.
Many forums have high traffic and readership so asking,
answering or commenting to as many conversations as you
can will increase the number of times that your forum
signature is seen.
Conclusion...
This is an easy way to get tons of people to sign up
under you. As stated, don't spam the forums by opening
conversations about PPP. Instead contribute to existing
conversations is some way, shape or form.
If you don't know how to answer a questions, ask a
question instead. If you don't know how to ask a
question then simply leave a comment but don't be spammy
about it.
